Operating referendum — Michigan City Area Schools
Asks voters whether Michigan City Area Schools may collect an extra school property tax for up to 8 years to pay for teachers and staff, student health and safety, class sizes and academic programs. The rate would be up to $0.2998 per $100 of assessed value, no more than $10,000,000 a year. For a median home ($200,000), the filing estimates about $260 more per year. Only voters inside this jurisdiction vote on it. DLGF filing ↗
